Hazelnut Praline Recipe
Praline is such a simple thing to make once you are aware of the stages and there are very few ingredients but the impact it can have on any bake is incredible. I cannot get enough of this stuff!
Ingredients
- 150g hazelnuts
- 150g caster sugar
- Pinch of flaked sea salt

Method
- Roast the nuts in a trey for 5mins or until lightly golden at 160C.
- Sprinkle a quarter of the sugar into a pan on medium-low. As the sugar begins to dissolve continue to sprinkle until all sugar is in the pan.
- Heat the sugar until all the sugar has dissolved and it reaches a deep golden colour. Pour the caramel onto a trey covered in greaseproof paper and sprinkle on the salt. Allow to set and cool fully.
- Place the nuts and caramel into the food processor and blend until it reaches a paste, occasionally scraping down the sides.
